Laurel’s 20-month Computer Network Security Technician program will teach you about system analysis and how to ensure network and system security. You will gain an understanding of network operation, computer and Internet security, cybercrime and ways to combat cybercrime.

Laurel’s 20-Month Associates Degree in Computer Network Security Technician trains students to install, maintain, manage and enhance computer networks. Students will learn about a variety of operating systems, including Linux, and Windows. Learn Voice, Data and Video (VDV Technician) communication, security, and surveillance systems as part of our newly upgraded program.

Learn to install, maintain, and repair security systems while engaging in classes such as network infrastructure, web server design and wireless technology. Learn to route and repair the inter-workings of fire alarms, plan and complete projects, layout and install access control systems, and provide the vital connections that our changing world needs.

Responsibilities may vary between organizations, but on-site servers, software-network interactions, security systems, as well as network integrity/resilience are the key areas of focus in Laurel’s newly updated program!
