Gain hands-on electrical technology experience while earning a Specialized Associate Degree. Laurel’s 16-month Electrical Technician program will prepare graduates for entry-level positions as residential, commercial and industrial electricians according to state eligibility requirements. As the demand grows for quality electricity, so does the need for qualified electricians. The program will provide extensive training in advanced motor control, conduit installation and bending techniques, and wiring practices. The program will also emphasize special features of commercial electrical systems and demonstrate diagnostic procedures to determine causes of electrical failures.

At Laurel, we have qualified and accessible faculty with real-world experience, whose primary responsibility is teaching. Our faculty care about our students’ success, and with an average class sizes of less than 20 students, you will never be lost in a crowd at Laurel!

In addition, students also receive instruction in field and shop safety, NEC requirements, commercial and industrial wiring.
