When emergency situations arise, paramedics are the critical first link in saving lives. Laurel’s new paramedic program offered at the Uniontown and Export, PA campuses is an intensive, 12-month accelerated program on a track designed to equip students with the advanced clinical knowledge, technical skills, and critical decision-making abilities required to deliver top-tier emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings. The program highlights hands-on lab training to practice complex life-saving procedures, incliding advanced airway management, IV therapy, pharmacology administration, and ECG reading skills in real life simulation labs. The program also provides extensive field & clinical rotation in emergency departments, intensive care units, and with leading EMS agencies in Western Pennsylvania.
The curiculum is specifically designed to prepare gradautes of the program to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic cognitive and psychomotor exams to obtain state licensure.

Ready to level up after program completion? Laurel’s Morgantown campus offers 16-month degree for LPN/Paramedic to ADN bridge program! This program offers an accelerated, streamlined pathway for experienced emergency medical clinicians to transition into registered nursing. By recognizing prior clinical knowledge, advanced pharmacology background, and emergency assessment skills, these programs allow paramedics to skip foundational coursework and complete their degree in just 16 months!
Flexible Hybrid-Online Format: Laurel College of Technology offers a hybrid-format where lecture and theory content are completed online, combined with hands-on lab and clinical components held just one weekend a month (at the Morgantown, WV campus). This setup is specifically tailored for working professionals who need to maintain their job while going to school.
Students learn nursing-specific concepts, such as long-term care management, nursing care plans, and holistic patient assessment, alongside targeted clinical rotations. The curriculum combines online coursework, hands-on lab simulations, and hospital-based clinical hours designed to fill the gaps between pre-hospital and inpatient care. Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to secure their RN license, opening doors to broader career opportunities.
