Laurel’s School of Healthcare 16-month Cardiovascular Technology program gives students basic skills to perform non-invasive testing to provide valuable recorded data for cardiac evaluation.

If you’re interested in cardiovascular technology, it’s likely that you have a knack for problem-solving — such as identifying an underlying issue or problem — and that you are skilled at interpreting complex data. You are interested in the inner-workings of the heart and have compassion for others. You are also very tech-savvy, great at multi-tasking, and communicate well with teammates.

Students in Laurel’s Cardiovascular Technology program will learn cardiac sonography/echo procedures, perform diagnostic testing, and learn administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performs diagnostic imaging & scans as directed by the physician.

Graduates can work with medical professionals in heart & vascular institutes, cardiac departments, cardiac rehabilitations, electrocardiography/stress laboratories, or echocardiography departments.

Students enrolled in the Cardiovascular Technology program in Hermitage, PA or Morgantown, WV will receive a Specialized Associate’s degree upon successful completion. Students enrolled in the Cardiovascular Technology program in Fort Mill, SC will receive a diploma upon successful completion of the program.
