Laurel's Immersive Learning Technologies

Laurel now offers an innovative learning experience through Immersive Learning Technologies. Innovative learning immerses the user into a fully computer generated-experience.

Immersive Learning Technologies transform the way education is delivered to students. It enhances the way students become engaged and learn.  By bringing the textbook to life with these learning technologies, they create a level of interest that textbooks or tests struggle to do.

Virtual environments provide students with the valuable ability to explore, make mistakes, and learn from them. These Immersive Learning Technologies can enhance these employability skills that some hiring managers have found lacking in today’s students.

Nursing Simulator

Nursing Anne Simulator takes the student from basic assessment to advanced practice.

She is the first nursing simulator to cover every aspect of modern nursing education that offers students a safe and realistic practice on core nursing skills – from basic assessments and critical thinking to advanced interventions. She can be used as a highly realistic patient simulator as well as a skills trainer for auscultation diagnostics, medication and fluid administration, train on CPR including compressions and ventilation, placement of NG, gastric lavage and gavage, urinary catheterization, palpitation on anatomy evaluation of conscious as well as unconscious patient, perform realistic vital signs assessment with blood pressure and pulses.

Nursing Anne is highly realistic with tetherless operation, realistic articulations of movement and positioning, and voice communication. The incorporation of Nursing Anne into our curriculum provides our students with invaluable opportunities to practice skills and situations in a safe and learning environment. The use of simulation is an exciting and creative way to provide education and is critical to the success of nursing education. The student becomes confident dealing with high-pressure situations, learns from their mistakes in a safe and supportive environment, as well as gaining experience with conditions they may not encounter during clinical.
