Laurel ASSIST is designed to help the transition from any situation to be easy and understandable. We are dedicated to providing affected workers or someone seeking further education with opportunities to obtain the skills, credentials, resources, and the support necessary to build new skills for future jobs. Laurel is here to help you get back on track with your career training after taking some time off from your education. This program was built with real life people in mind that need new opportunities to get back on track! Laurel takes pride in helping you get started, helping you get through it and the opportunity for continual Career Services available to alumni - giving you the support you need after completion of your program. We take pride in allowing you to opportunity to come back and request assistance, should you need it!

This program also features the "Fresh Start" initiative designed to support students making a significant change in their lives. Laurel knows that people often need to change directions due to challenging life circumstances and need broader supports and considerations when making this life-changing decision. Laurel offers extended admission procedures to these individuals including days to sit in and observe classes, Career Services advising, meetings with program and campus directors, and one-on-one consultations with the Financial Aid team to learn about their options. The Fresh Start Program is here to support those individuals who need a helping hand in the next chapter of their lives.

What is a Credit Transfer? Credit transfers are completed credits at another college, university or higher education institution after high school graduation. We know there are a number of reasons students would need to consider transferring credits. Whether you are still enrolled and looking for a change or if you tried higher education some time ago and had to take and break because you needed to focus on different areas of your life, we're here to help.

Laurel Assist is built to help the transition be easy and understandable. Laurel is happy to work with students who are transferring from other two- and four-year institutions, and we want to make this s smooth transition for you! One of the hardest parts of going through a job displacement is figuring out what to do next. That’s why Laurel is ready with assistance to help you discover your next career opportunity. Our goal is to assist displaced workers in their transition from displacement to secure, fulfilling, and financially viable employment. Laurel Assist is committed to helping retrain workers in the event of staff reductions, business closings, and mass layoffs. When circumstances change we want to provide the opportunity to build a new skill.
